I know, Crystal is no longer supported by Epicor but we still have several reports in it, and so…
I have this crystal report that I cannot for this life of me figure out how to get rid of this area/limitation in it. It’s a box and it does not print and it makes the detail sections shorter. In section expert there is nothing making it happen. The text below the box (e.g., T Code, Ambient Temp) doesn’t show in preview/print. Any Crystal folks who can think of where this is stored/what it is?
No, it does not. But the “hover/show me what it is” does work in general per screenshot below where it shows me that hp is a textbox. Also when in the space and I right click, it just shows me section expert stuff. It’s very odd. I’ve fooled around with it for at least an hour and just cannot figure out what I have going on. I tried lots of variation in page setup but that doesn’t make it go anywhere. Weirdest thing is that nothing under the box prints. No suppression of fields/text boxes.
I was really hoping to not have to rebuild this from scratch, but I’m getting a bad feeling I am going to have to do that.
I sure can. Here it is. It’s based on a bunch of UD fields so I’m not sure the BAQ would be useful. The data is saved with the report, so hopefully that helps.
I have no idea what that box is - you have me stumped. I created new section Details d, copied all fields from c and pasted into d, then suppressed c. Fortunately, the box did not move with it. It looks like the Details a has a similar box. PolarWorkCardNameplate2.rpt (79 KB)
Thanks so much for looking at it. It’s an awful phantom box isn’t it?!
Your suppression idea is not a bad idea for a brute force fix. I think I might do this to get it off my plate for a bit. I’d really like for ops to be able to print this as they want and I will be out some upcoming.
Have a great weekend (and Happy Easter if you celebrate it!),
You’re a genius! I thought I had looked everywhere for something like this, but I guess I missed it. (And I make fun of my husband for his lack of looking carefully for things… )
