We are using Epicor 9 (Progress) w/Crystal reports. Epicor users have CR runtime installed. CR runtime works from within Epicor, but isn’t a viewer. I’m looking for a viewer (preferably free!) that would allow us to export reports as a Crystal report (.rpt) for archive purposes. We’d like to be able to view archived reports and have the ability to export them to other formats. We want to see only archived data; we don’t want to refresh the report. I tried Logicity, but it brings up the report with the current date rather than the archived date and isn’t user-friendly enough for some of our users. Any ideas?
Report Viewer Pro is what we use. It has built in functionality for scheduling and automating reports. It’s a very nice program. We also have Epicor 9 on Progress.

If your .rpt file that renders the report uses dynamic fields like TODAY(), that field will show a different date when the report is re-run (with the same XML data), on a different day.
So you’d need to modify you CR files to use only info from the XML. And you might have to modify the RDD, so the XML includes the date the data set was created.
Forgot about the dynamic fields, that explains the date change.
Of course you could just change the label from Gathered On: to Printed On:
