Crystal Reports with 5.2

Thank you for the information - I was testing via a terminal server and
we had not updated the .dlls per the instructions (on the terminal
server)- we determined that after testing a client install of Vantage -
everything seems fine now.

What version of crystal reports are you using. Appendix D of the 5.2
install instructions
stated that V5.2 ships with Crystal Reports 8.5 dll's. I also had to
download SP1 from seagate.
(I had an early release of 8.5). I am at version 8.5.0.461 right now
and I
am not having any
problems converting. Let me know if you need a copy of Appendix D.

We are testing 5.2 , trying to upgrade by next Tuesday, and we are
experiencing problems with Crystal Reports. The Purchase Order and
Invoice do not print any line items on them. These are our own versions
of them - converted from original forms. I have not had this issue with
previous upgrades. Anyone else have this problem or know what to do to
correct it ?

Kristine,
We are currently on 5.1. For every upgrade since 3.0 we have had to
start from scratch with our custom POForm report. I start by using the
original POForm.rpt from the new version. Then I add the fields, sections,
etc. to the form by reviewing the old form. I then save this modified form
to a new name (ie. POForm51.rpt). It's the long way around, but this way
you avoid missing key data that the newer version may have changed. Your
field names, etc. could all be different in the newer version of the report.

That's what I thought would be the best approach - but, I thought
verifying the database would let me know everything was fine.

check the DLL's. I experienced a similar problem, updating the DLL's on the
client workstation resolved the problem. "p2bxbse.dll" was the one that was
out of sync in my case. You can find all the DLL's for Vantage in the
Vantage\DLL directory, copy these to the client's windows\system directory
and try the reports again.
