I'm on Vantage 8.03.405A and am using Andrew Tapper's BOM dashboard
with an added Part On-Hand sheet [standard PartWarehouse query,
actually]. Andrew's dashboard is a wonderful thing that's got my boss
all but jumping for joy.
Now, I'm trying to create a Crystal Report to eventually print this,
at least the BOM part of it, in no small part because the Progress BOM
report is just plain ugly and our current BOMs are pretty nice
looking, so it's a user comfort issue as we implement. Well, that and
the boss may do backflips, and I'd really like to watch that, since
he's almost 70.
BUT, when I try to run the report creation wizard in Crystal 11.5 and
attempt a connection to the sample XML data file, I get an error
message of this sort:
Logon failed.
Details: Schema file is invalid
error: Type of FT-BOMMtl_Summary@http://www.epicor.com/Mfg/100 is
inconsistent with another element with the same name in this content model
I'm an absolute rookie with XML. I can spell it, and I'm beginning to
understand a bit of the vocabulary. I can parse the general ideas of
the error message, but I can't dig out specifics in the sense of
looking at the XML file and spotting the problem. Can someone help me
figure out a better idea of what this means?
Thanks in advance,
Lynn Thomas
