Crystal - Start new page when whole group wont fit

No problem... I got confused exactly the same way a couple months ago
:-)

If too large, I believe it starts the group at the top of a new page,
then does normal page breaks within the group. You might want the
"repeat group header on each page" option.

(The option I really want is "if less than 2 detail lines for this new
group will fit on this page, then move the group header to the next
page"... but it doesn't seem to exist).

Brian.

Ah great thanks. An un-chartered menu option that ive never looked at.

Bit mis-leading. :-0

What happens when the group is actually too big to fit on the page?

Note there are two separate options: "Keep Together" in Section Expert
and "Keep Group Together" in "Change Group Options". You want the
second one.

Brian.

Hi All

I am creating a crystal report, but the groups are being split across pages. On
some of the pages, I only have a group header at the bottom of the page and the
rest of the group on the next page.

How can I get it so there can be multiple 'small' groups per page, but if only
the group header of the next group is on the page, I need to tell crystal to
display it on the next page.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.

Found this online a while back it may work

Remove Keep Together option for all the groups and in Section Expert --> in
highest
hierarchy group footer --> choose New Page After option instead of New page
before. In New Page After use the

Condition : not OnLastRecord
and
{highest
hierarchy group Column name} <> Next({highest
hierarchy group Column name})

This will print each group on a new page with header.
