CSFUK Error

Testing functionality with 2021.1.4 and I am receiving the following error:

Could not load file or assembly: Einv.Data.Model, Version=11.1.100.0

I’ve been getting this error every single time I log into the ERP. I’ve put a case in via EpicCare and they directed us to install the CSFUK functionality. After installing this, the error has still not disappeared. I mentioned this in our case, and the rep said to try reinstalling it which I did.

I then restarted the App Pool and the server based off his advice which again did nothing. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Have you regenerated the data model?

I personally wasn’t the one that did this, someone else in the business did this. But I’ve been told yes they have done everything as instructed, including regenerating the data model.

Taking look at the install guide for the CSF for Kinetic, there appears to be a few differences that I have never needed to do in the past. So it’s worth going back through that again.

Things that stand out to me are:

  • Running the Extension Schema Serialize not the Regenerate Data Model
  • Installing the CSF solutions into every licenced CSF company
  • Updating the client deployment sysconfig file with the correct information.

The other thing that I have thought of is if you have updated to 2021.1.4 and then installed the CSF it might be worth re-running the .4 update again. The reason I mention this is that it appears there is no .4 version of the CSF and the document also mentions that once you install the CSF initially there is no need to reinstall it with subsequent updates. So perhaps something went awry there.

As always…no warranty on my suggestions.

I have submitted a support case to Epicor about this in the past (CSFSE). Starting with 700 (for some reason), I’ve had to extract the files from the Server\Assemblies directory of the .CAB myself and copy them to the Server\Assemblies website directory on the APP server, as well as the LocalClients directory of the server.

After that it all worked for me. I suspect the LocalClients was only because the “/skip” switch is on that shortcut.

I had to do the same for our Kinetic Test server that I set up. All of the clients do receive the files from the .ZIP like they are supposed to, but unless you get those files from the CAB into the website directory, it will not work.

Finally sorted this. I got the guy that initially did work on this to do the whole process again, and it seemed to fix all the issues I was having.

I think it was just done incorrectly when he originally did it.
