Customer import into vantage

Thanks for the replies Mark/Dale. I called Epicor and was given a sample file which answered my question. I am going to upload this to the files area.

Thanks,
Kunal

Subject: [Vantage] customer import into vantage

Hello,

I am trying to import about 3000+ customers into Vantage using the steps outlined in the help file. However, as evidenced by this e-mail, I am not getting very far. I keep getting the error "INVALID CUSTOMER CONTACT IMPORT FILE". I know my CSV file is in the correct format and follows the criteria mentioned in the help document. Does anyone have a working file I can see as reference? (I only need to see a few fictional examples, so please delete most of the customer data should it be protected information) .

Thanks,
Kunal

Heres one I used with a sample customer record. The import is very partcular about columns and values but this one worked fine
Remember to save it as a csv file first

The two things that catches me is:

1. All logical fields must be 0 or 1.

2. The heading line (I do not remember if it is required or
required to be missing)

If you think the data is correct and still getting the error, just run
the first record.

If that works then your format is correct but you have problem data.

Depending on the accuracy of the legacy data, I have had to load the
customer masters in 10-15 pieces narrowing down the problem customers.

Hope this helps
