Has anybody tried to modify the drop down box for Types under the Part Tab. I was going to try and add a field called Customer Supplied or Consigned. Currently there is only 3 choices, Purchase, Manufactured, or Supply Kit.
We currently use 10.1.600 and are going to be going to 10.2.400 in the near future
You can’t add your own there Part type drives a LOT of stuff within Epicor adding your own will likely lead to trouble.
Although it is possible it is ill advised.
What all does it touch. This seems to be easier solution then buying another software module.
It is used every-where from jobs to quotes, to reports everywhere.
Customer Managed Inventory does exist within Epicor ERP as an option.
So does supplier managed.
Also you can just add a UD field CheckBox style for “Customer Supplied” or “Consigned” however there are facilities already built for this in epicor such as the Customer Part Cross Reference.
And Warehouse bins.
