Until then I guess it’s 10.2.500 for us!
Thank you for this valuable feedback.
I am sure that you are not the only one using EKW, but I feel the same way when making decisions on functionality, limitations and devices.
I have Honeywells ck65 Gen1 and our warehouse team prefers handhelds over tablets or compact devices, so I will try to leverage my devices for EKW.
After two years and on the cusp of being on 2025.1, we are wondering about tablets again since they just need to access the browser. We have a lot of customizations and EKW doesn’t allow for what we have. Going browser will access everything we’ve done.
For your truck planning needs, consider taking a look at Biscit’s Delivery Planning product.
Not sure how this is in 2025.1, but we still have poor experiences with Kinetic browser on mobile after upgrading from 22.2 to 24.2. You have to switch them to “Request Desktop Site” to get the most usable UI. The mobile UI (non-desktop) looks forgotten, and straight up isn’t functional in places like Job Tracker (Assemblies section won’t load!). Even with desktop site enabled, there are still other UX headaches you end up dealing with.
This is where our custom app fills in the gaps. Of course, same thing with Biscit or Bezlio, they both optimize for mobile data collection.
Thanks, Zach, for your input.
We started out with Biscit, but found it very limited with what we want to do with it. We have customizations that would never convert to Kinetic Warehouse, so that route is not an option for us.
I was hoping to have the warehouse users use a device that would access the browser version of MES and allow for all of our customizations to be done.
Will be circling back to that later in the year, hopefully, with a path to make them more efficient.
