Cycle Counting - Auto Select

Andrew:
I don't believe that the inactive parts are selected. Even the help in 6.1
is still in conflict with itself and says it both ways like you are seeing,
but we
haven't had the inactive's come up.

Also, regarding the selection - it isn't very random - it just goes in P/N
order like you are getting, but the ABCD selection is working. It stops
being in P/N order somewhat as you go along, if you add groups or parts that
you want to count in addition to the systems selection, then those will
start appearing during their normal count freq. cycle instead of in P/N
order....

To all,
We are looking at cycle counting, and have used the auto select parts
function. We noticed that while the part numbers that it selected
come from all the ABC classes, the parts are in numerical order. It
would seem that we should have parts from all areas of the database,
not starting from the lowest part number, going to the highest (See
the list of 25 parts at the end of this). We have parts that start
with both letters and numbers. We are on Vantage 5.1.

Also, the help system says two different things regarding inactive
parts. On the help screen entitled "Auto-Selecting Parts to Count" it
says "Inactive parts are selected by the auto-select function." Lower
down in the same document, it then says, "Parts marked as Inactive
are not selected". What have you experienced with cycle counting with
respect to inactive parts?

Thanks in advance, and thanks to Julie for her response to my inquiry
yesterday!
Andrew

This is for everyone who does direct deposit:

Do you allow your employees to deposit into more than one account?

If so, how do you go about doing this?

We are on 6.1 if that makes any difference.

We allow each employee up to 3 accounts. This is a leftover policy from
several years ago when we were data entering the info each pay into our
bank's software. With the ability to upload the file Vantage creates, there
really is no basis for this limitation except that I have not had any
requests from employees to increase it. We have 3 deduction codes (DD1,
DD2, and DD3) setup and just add them to each employee as necessary.
