Dashboard Tracker - Get parent UltraGrid GUID

Hi

In my dashboard, i needed a button to run a file saveas function. I need to loop through the dashboard grid. My code is all set up ready to go but i cannot access the dashboard customization to get the grid GUID.

I added a tracker view and placed my button there and in the left side browser, the grid isnt accessible.

I couldnt find a way to add the button at dashboard level without needing to add a tracker view first.

So, how do i access the dashboard grid so that i can obtain the guid to get the data out?

Deploy the dashboard and create a menu item for the dashboard assembly. You can then create a screen customization on top of the base dashboard.

Thanks for the reply. The dashboard is deployed and developer is turned on but i am unable to create a customization on top of the base dashboard. I tried using the Dashboard editor and also running the dashboard itself…

Is the menu item for a Runtime Dashboard or a Dashboard Assembly? You can create customizations for Assemblies.
