Dataview not creating the columns after selecting the table

Hi
I have created a dataview which uses the Part table, but after I have entered ‘Part’ for the ‘data’ and ‘server’ settings no columns are retrieved from the table.
If someone can help me with this I would be very grateful.

Do they appear if you save, exit App Studio, and go back in?

No they don’t, I have tried to delete the view re-create as well as close the app.

After you type in “Part” under the Data.DataTable, do you see the loading bar attempting to retrieve information?

I don’t, I just tried deleting and re-type and nothing appears.

What happens if you try to create a view for another data table? Try OrderDtl.

That did create the columns as soon as I tabbed off the Data Table field.

I just tried again creating the view for the part table and it still doesn’t create the columns. Very strange!

Hmmm.
If you have it as OrderDtl and save, then switch to Part, do you get this Info Message?

Also, what about a part-related table?
Maybe try PartPlant or PartRev.

This is odd!!!, I did what you said and changed it to PartPlant and it did create the columns, but then I changed it back to Part all the columns disappeared (as expected) but the Part columns again never appeared.

Huh. I would raise a support ticket for that one.

This issue was fixed in 2021.1.5 / 100.5. What version of Kinetic are you using?
