One thing seems to be required and that's the project management module
with each contract set up as a separate project with a project ID that
is used on all transactions.

Someone else gave me a link to http://www.dcaa.mil/ which I have yet to
follow up on.

I have been searching for help on this exact topic. I have gone through
3 audits over the last 10 years and to this day I still do not have a
compliant system. It is so hard to understand what they want unless you
know someone who has a compliant system. I posted a request for help
out on my Vistage International network and never got a response. If you
do come across any information that is helpful would you be willing to
share it?

Looking for an easy way to transfer the remaining cost of one job to
another job. Same Part #. Vantage 5.2. Any ideas appreciated.

Not sure if they had this functionality in 5.2...
But in 8.0, 8.03.3XXx, and 8.03.4XXx you can build a job to another.

What you need to do is create a job where you are producing the end
part (we call these sub job[s]). Within the sub job[s], create a
material sequence and flag it as MAKE DIRECT. This will create the
demand for you to go produce/manufacture the material is is calling.
It can be seen on the Planning Workbench.

Create another job (we call these master jobs) to fulfill the demand
(part #'s must be exactly the same). When the Master Job is
complete, you will need to perform Job Receipt to Job which receives
the Qty and Cost to the Sub Job[s].

You can do one master to multiple sub jobs or just one; it really
works slick.

But again, I am not familiar with 5.2 so that functionality might not
have been developed yet.
