Demystify relative file paths in public cloud

Can anyone please help demystify the relative path story for public cloud?

The documentation doesn’t seem correct.

I go to BAQ Export, choose a BAQ, put Temp\test.csv for output filename and sysmon show success to here:

C:\epi\storage\epicordata\{SiteID}\Companies\{SiteID}\Processes\{UserName}\Temp\Test.csv

Yet when I got to Sever File Download, Choose Type: User, expand folder Temp, I don’t see the file.

System Agent has this path:

*C:\epi\storage\epicordata*

None of this exactly aligns to the docs:

Why would the default User root path differ between BAQ export and File Download?

I think I need to understand how to determine or configure the correct root paths for each DocType: Company, User, Reports, Admin.

Thanks in advance.

Chose Company, not User.
You’ll see Processes in there.
Under Processes will be the user.
In the user will be your file.

Because BAQ Export is seen as a Process which is a Company level related activity.

It just dumps it in there by username.

I agree with your confusion and frustration. If they were setting this up new, this could be clearer and more thought out, but some of this was added over time.

Perfect thanks. and if I get an error choosing Company ‘not properly configured’ is that a cloud support thing or a me thing?

Where do you get that?

Yeah or at least if they clarify in the docs. Thanks again!

wish me luck…been going back n forth for a week trying to get them to make their server write to their Azure File share. Had to show them their AppServer Log auth error on server-side.
