DFAR Specialty Metals Hardware

Not now, but I have worked with this before. Our process was as follows:

- Assign a serialized number (Cxxxxxx) to every material received.

- Identify material with number

- Identify paperwork with number

- Scan all raw materials (extrusions) paperwork into a specified network folder.

- When materials are issued to the job, reference C#s assigned to material in material issue reference field.

Since our material was dimensionally tracked, we chose not want to pollute the process by compounding lot tracking as well. If multiple certs were used, the reference line would list them all separated by a ','. Certifications could then be printed / emailed to the customer based on the job that consumed them.
