Different Customizations for Same Menu Item in Different Compani

Dear Brian:

I have not yet needed to try this, but I thought that someone
answered this question last week.

I think the answer was to give the 2 different customizations for the
2 different companies the exact same name.

When you are in company A, Vantage will use the customization for
company A. And when in B, Vantage will use the customization for B.

Did you try it? Didn't it work?

I may need to use this in the future.

Lynn

How does one accomplish this?

Company A has a custom Part screen that I've deployed to a bunch of
places.

Company B has a different set of customizations that they want to see
when then run Part Maintenance.

I can define a customization to be only valid within a given company.
But I'm not seeing how I leverage that so that I can have different
customizations for the same screen in different companies.

Hi Brian,

Save each company's customisation using exactly the same name.
Vantage still distinguishes between them because they're applicable
to different companies, and so it will load the correct one for each
company.

Nigel.

Anyone have any insight into this?

How does one accomplish this?

Company A has a custom Part screen that I've deployed to a bunch of
places.

Company B has a different set of customizations that they want to see
when then run Part Maintenance.

I can define a customization to be only valid within a given company.
But I'm not seeing how I leverage that so that I can have different
customizations for the same screen in different companies.

What am I missing?
