Digest Number 11323

Is there a space in the users name?  That can cause problems.

So you would typically do the output to statement before the for each Loop and the close after the end.

Subject: [Vantage] JobBoss and Epicor

Hello Group,

After a recent buy out of our company, the new owners have decided to move forward in replacing Epicor with JobBoss. Our shop currently is employing 250 employees and primary do make to order and production work for fabricating sheet metal.

This is less of a technical question, but more of a sales question, but I was hoping the group could provide a little feedback on their experience with a similar situation?

Regards,

I am trying to modify our AP Check to show the GL allocations on the check.
For any one invoice - we may have 3 or 4 GL Allocations.

I added the APInvExp table to the DataDef and joined using Company, VendorNum, and InvoiceNum and used an outer join.

That appears to be working - I can see and print my APInvExp amounts.

However, I would like to display the GLAccount Description next to each of the amounts.

I thought I had this solved by joining the APInvExp to TranGLC and using Company, Key1 (VendorNum), Key2(APInvExp. InvoiceNum) , and Key3(APInvExp. InvoiceNum)

However I get an error when I try to join those fields.

So - I now see that there is an APInvExpTGLC table (I was unable to find this in the SQL Schema tables) and I thought I remembered that this table was added to help join to the TranGLC.

However - am at a loss to see how to make the joins.

Has anyone ever tacked the APInvExp to TranGLC?

Thanks,

DaveO

Hi,

In V8.03 I have a BPM that is writing some data to a file in a users report folder
using a line like this: output to "D:\ epicor\ mfgsysdata&# 92;Reports&# 92;userxxx&# 92;PIF.txt" .

Was hoping I could send the output to a shared network folder but
When I tried a URL and mapping a drive, both of those attempts failed - the BPM throw an error & no output.

Thanks
Bruce

Did you try a UNC path?

I have a bpm that writes to a share that works on 9.05. I copied the lines from there and made a test on customer update that works in 905.702A.

Greg

define variable fileLocation as character init ''.
define variable outputLine as character init ''.

For Each ttCustomer where ttCustomer.rowmod = "U".

assign fileLocation = "\\svr-dapp\EpicorData\Reports\" + DCD-UserID + "\test.txt".

output to value(fileLocation).

outputLine = "stuff".

message outputLine.

End.
