Digest Number 2075

We attended the Colloquium - Chicago and found it very helpful. Small
groups, people who for the most part knew what they were talking about and
could give you answers etc. Several people were there from the Minnesota
area.

If only one cell will have a value in it, than this should work:
=B3*(C3+D3+E3)

You can also do this with if, then statements in the cell, but if this is
all your doing, it's not needed

how about,

iif(c3 <> 0, =B3*c3, iif(d3 <> 0, B3*d3, B3*d3))

=B3*(C3+D3+E3) will work provided that the three cells contain either a
number or nothing.

If the cells contain letters or spaces, the formula will return an error.
That can be avoided using an IF function and ISVALUE function, but we'll
leave that alone unless its required.

Hi everyone,
I asked Mary about her experiences at the Pittsburgh Colloquium.
Here are her comments.
********************************
Yes - I do think it was worth my time.
They touched on many different modules and their presentations were pretty
good. They were able to answer most of the questions people asked and they
were small groups - which I liked very much. It was very organized and the
demonstrators knew what they were talking about. They do go fairly quickly
through things and it is pretty much a brief overview of that module. The
questions and comments of those attending cleared up a lot of issues.
The only negative aspect I would say is : there is a ton of information to
absorb in a couple of days and they do not give any hand outs with the
information they have presented.

Mary

Nancy

I am considering the Colloquium in Las Vegas in December (it'd got to be
warmer than MN.). Please have her share her thoughts on line.

Thanks
