Direct deposit

Our bank provided us the software to send the file to them. It has an
import feature that reads the Vantage text file and creates the NACHA file
they need. As Joe Konecny said, we needed the bank software to connect to
their system anyway, so this works great for us.
Within the last 2 months, our bank implemented a website that replaces the
software. We log in, import the Vantage file to the website and they take
it from there. Has been working very well.

We are in the process of going to direct deposit. We are wondering about
the NACHA file that is needed to have direct deposit. If anyone could give
us their input and how this has worked for them it would be appreciated.

Justin,

For unknown reasons, Vantage does not export using the NACHA
format. However if your bank provides you with PC/Clear or
similar, you don't need to worry about NACHA as you can map
fields before transmitting the p/r files to your bank.

Vantage's output format comma-delimited ASCII, each record
on it's own line. The field layout is:

Transaction Number,
encrypted information,
Deduction ID code,
unknown code,
Check Group ID,
Employee ID,
SS #,
First,
Middle,
Last,
Amount of Check,
Check Date,
Bank ID,
Routing Number,
Check Digit,
ID number from Bank Account,
Bank Name,
Service Code,
Entry Class
