Disable Action Menu Items

Hello,

We have recently upgraded from 10.2 to Kinetic 2023.1 using classic forms still. We are going to start to migrate our classic form customisations to Kinetic and was wondering if anyone knows if its possible to disable the Action menu items, as you could in E10 (via the Infragistics menu properties).

For example for GL Jrnls, we have an Epicor ECM approval process, so the Journal group cannot be posted until it has been approved (disables the Post option, in the Actions Menu).

Hi Neil,

The new security paradigm in Kinetic (and all web apps for that matter) is to control access at the server, usually a BPM. Disabling at the Actions menu is security by obscurity. It is still possible for someone to post that GL through other means: REST, BLTESTER, etc. Sure, it may seem unlikely for the skill set but the better practice is to move that control out of the client.
