Disassembly of returned material

Dave, we encountered a similar situation but we don't have the AMM Module. We have had to engineer the jobs showing the Assembly as Pull As Assembly vs. just View as Assembly in order to deconstruct the assembly and return each individual component back to inventory. Perhaps someone else with AMM has a better idea.

We have the AMM module, but the Return Assembly/Material returns the
Assembly to inventory - we tear it back down to the component and sub-
component level and put the inventory back. I didn't see a function
breaking the assemblies back down into components.

Am I missing something?
Dave

dis-assemble the equipment back down to its components and put the
reusable components back into stock. From what we have been able to
come up with, there is no good way to take a BOM and blow the lower
level materials back into stock. We have BOMs that are deep with lots
of parts and putting them back into stock by hand would be terrible.
We have one alternative of pulling out an exploded BOM list and
returning the material through the list value tab of Return Misc
Material.Does anyone else out there have this situation? What have
you done to solve it?Thank you.

Do you have the AMM module?
There is a function there called Return Assembly/Material request.
