DMR reject: Where did it go?

A few setups you should verify:

1. Company Config-Modules-Production-QA: Move Costs to DMR
2. Inventory-Setup-Reason Codes: Reason Type DMR
Based on the Type and Code, you tell it where to go on the
Ledger.

Based on how we have it setup...
1. NC Fails creating DMR
* Qty moves to DMR Whse (the from depends on where the NC was
initiaed from)
* Debit DMR - Pending
Credit - Depends on where the NC came from
2. QA Rejects (Reject Reason Code is setup to post to DMR - Writeoff)
* Qty is reduced in the DMR Whse
* Debit DMR - Writeoff
Credit DMR - Pending

I think what makes it confusing is tracking inventory qty. Once it
fails the Inspection Processing..consider the qty gone. It is very
rare that our QA Manager Accepts DMR. But if they do...there are two
choices...to stock or to job.

If I reject some parts in DMR Processing, there's a parttran record showing them DMR-REJ, and inventorytrans is TRUE.
if in the DMR I say that they parts go to Warehouse A, Bin XYZ, that data is stored in the same parttran record.
However, I cannot find the "inventory", partbin will show nothing for Warehouse A, Bin XYZ.
What happens between "part is on job" and part is rejected, just disappears from the company inventory?
I'm a little confused. Thanks for any help
my concerns are also for the costing aspect of it. Thanks!
