Hi,
I’m trying to flag a number of parts to be serial tracked. I can do it manually, so there is no issue with that. However when I try to import the list of parts, it won’t allow it. It gives me the error message a serial number format must be defined, but there’s no fields in DMT either for Part or PartCombined to allow me to do that.
Has anyone had a similar issue?

Point taken.
There is a column heading which needs to be added to the Part DMT import file called SNBaseDataType. I used the value “CHARACTER” which set the serial number format to Alphanumeric - a surprisingly simple solution!
