I have a call in to Epicor on this but I have not heard back from them and I was hoping someone could help me out. We are going to be changing our costing method for parts and I am going to use the DMT to do it. I want to test the whole process on our test system first to minimize any problems I might have.


My question is, how do I use the DMT on the test system only?


Both the test system and live system are on the same server. When I run the tool, on the bottom right side of the DMT window it does not say test system just the name of our server. I have looked through the documentation for installation and quick setup and there is no mention of this.


Any help will be greatly appreciated.

When you install it you will want a separate icon so that the setting you put in it are for the test environment.  I am only 75% sure that I just copied and pasted the new icon and reset the setting for EpicorTest10.  Sorry I just don’t remember.  Then I renamed the icon to say DMT Test and DMT Live.

Then I tested it by updating only one part.  Once happy I have been a DMT fool ever since.

In my case, I just have to change the port in the connection URL

Test: AppServerDC//xxxxxxxxx:9421
Live: AppServerDC//xxxxxxxxx:9401
Pilot: AppServerDC//xxxxxxxxx:9431
Train: AppServerDC//xxxxxxxxx:9411

Unfortunately I don't have that screen either. I'm on Vantage 8. We will be going to 10 and this is a precursor to that migration.
