Due Date Order

Thank you all for your help. That fixed it.

Oleg
Our VP just showed me a piculiarity that we have with POs. On the screen
all the shipping dates are in the right order, however when it is printed
out dates within a month are sorted by the first digit, i.e. 12/26/2000 is
before 12/04/2000 instead of after. Has anyone else seen this problem. Are
there any ways to rectify it?

We're on Vantage 4.0 (811). This is a crystal form that I have edited by
adding a few comments, but otherwise is same as original.

Thank you,

Wow, that's annoying - my 4.00.811 does it too!

I think the same bug cropped up back in 3.0 and was fixed. There were
numerous version of the PO form put out in the 4.0 patches, mostly to fix
issues with Misc Charges. Guess that one got lost in the shuffle.

You can modify the form to add a sort on porel.Duedate after the group
sorts to correct it. Also, make sure you are applying your mods to the
poform.rpt that came with the 811 patch.

I could not figure out how to sort that field in Crystal. Could somebody walk me through it. I would really appriciate that.

Oleg,

Open the PO Form that Vantage is using in Crystal. From the top menu, click
'Report' and from the drop-down list, click 'Sort Records'. The 'Record
Sort order' window will open.

From the left, find the field porel.DUEDATE, and double-click it to add it
to the sort. you will notice it will be added to the sort on the right
side. Click 'Ok' when finished.

HTH,
