E9: How do I get my jobs from MRP to be due 3 days before Sales

Well this is not working as is was prior to 702A.

If Rec Time is 3 days and order is 10/15

Job is Due 10/15
Final Operation is 10/12

Before
If Rec Time is 3 days and order is 10/15

Job is Due 10/12
Final Operation is 10/12

RESPONSE FROM DEVELOPMENT

SCR 114679 created.  Targeted to be fixed on a future release.  TBD.



Example:

 

Job Start is 11/4

Job Due: 11/7

Job Req: 11/10

Sales Order Ship by: 11/10

Sales Order Need by: 11/12

same idea...but easier yet, put the 3 day receive time on the part class setup.

Whoa, I thought the receive time field was meant for receiving parts from a PO or a Transfer Order?  Not necessarily from a job to stock or job to customer transaction.

No, it will adjust the JobHead.Reqdate back from the ship date on the release, whether you’re shipping from stock or the job.

One last note on receive time...From Rob's comment I think that how this works has changed between the 9.05.700C and the 9.05.702 level. What he states is not how it is working on our 9.05.700C level.
