E9 Job Due Date versus Required by date

I am confused by job scheduling. I have a job that is Required by 6/23/2021 and the Due Date is 12/09/2021. When I try to reschedule it responds "Th job is currently scheduled to finish by 12/9.2021. It willl not meet its required date of 6/23/2021.

Why can’t I change the Due Date? It’s a problem because the components of the job are due on the job Start date of 11/24/2021.

The due date is based upon the job end date after scheduling. You never ENTER a due date, you schedule a job to meet the required date.

If it misses, look at Job Scheduling Board and figure out why.
