E9 which OS 2003 or 2008 64 bit?

64bit Server 2003 R2 is what I would do.

I'm about to build my test server. I'm reading in the install
directions that several things like PET don't work with Windows 2008 64
bit server. Have they fixed these with patches or do you have to manage
the server from a workstation ?

Recommendations please.
