We are in the midst of changing to Kinetic and one thing that puzzles me is that after parts are checked back in, they fall off the ECO group list. This means we’ve lost insight into what was on that group/the changes made. They are on the Revision table for each part but going into each part is the only way I know to find this information. I’ve not found a space that shows the collective list of everything that changed as part of an ECO.
This is not how I’m used to seeing ECO’s done. I’m used to the ECO record capturing all the parts that were changed and their from/to revision, workflow approvals, etc. A snapshot of the work if you will. Is there a way to see and export everything that was on an ECO group?
You will have to create a BAQ to query the ECO tables to get what you want.
Oh, and welcome @Trialbyfire !!
But be careful with that, because they are not designed to be historical tables, and so they aren’t a true history unless you very carefully control how they are used.
To expand on what @Banderson said, Epicor doesn’t reliably support ECO history out of the box. Although it would likely be a HUGE undertaking, you could probably co-opt a UD table and build your own… but capturing transaction-type history (approvals, comparisons from/to, etc.) would get pretty nasty pretty quickly.
You have to get the Control ECO Process. Sometime we only use one ECO Group to control upload new MOM. But this will no capture the change. We have to create new ECO Group for the snapshot. This will help you when you want to tracking changes.
