EDI RDD output / CustomerDocs and AltTradingPartnerName

I’ve got an issue that is driving me crazy and I’m hoping others have already come across this and it’s been addressed. The CustomerDocs_AltTradingPartnerName field drives TIE mapping for outbound documents. Most of the time this works as designed. However, there are certain instances where for some reason, the RDD is not outputting the AltTradingPartnerName. First, I thought this was just an issue with the RDD for the SO Acknowledgement (for the 855) which I addressed but now I have a MasterPack ASN that will output the AltTradingPartnerName for one customer but not for another customer. Both are set up in the same exact way. I have set up a customer document for the ASN and this is where I’ve set the TradingPartnerName. I’ve also set this up under the Demand tab.

We’re on 10.0.700.4

Any ideas?

Discovered the problem. On the document type I had accidentally set the document direction as Inbound instead of Outbound. Once I set the direction type correctly, AltTradingPartnerName output as desired.
