Edit or Delete a journal in error?

Hello everyone,

If a journal is stuck in error (in this case because a period is closed) is there a way to just fix the error?

Or do you always have to cancel it and start over?

We are new to Epicor so this is our first journal error. whats the best approach?

I assume it is in the Review Journal. At this point, you have to cancel the Journal from there and then you can make edits/changes.

You can fix some details on the review journal screen, for example change the gl account if it is inactive or wrong, in your example I think you can reopen the period (not inside the review journal but on close period screen)… Then go to Journal Entry Confirmation and that will post it.
