Edit Panel Cards Inside Stack? 2024.2.7

Hey,

I’ve created an application from deploying the dashboard and I wind up with a panel card stack with a number of panel cards inside.

I don’t see a way to edit the panel cards. Do I need to delete the stack to edit them and then put them back?

Thanks,

Joe

Looks like your stack is read only.
Click the stack, go to properties and see if read only is checked.

Well, that’s a direction. I don’t see a control on the properties tab, but I’ll run through the debug and see if there’s something I can set there. Thanks!

Aw, bummer. That would have been too easy, lol.

In your screenshot there’s a floating checkbox I’ve never seen before that says “Edit Box Layout.”
Does messing with that do anything?

Yes, that’s the new feature where you can move/resize containers on the form.

If that mode is turned on, you cannot modify the contents of the containers… you’re modifying the layout.

Uncheck that, and you should be able to modify the contents.

To turn it off all together, click on the page title (so you can see the page properties) and, under Layout, turn off “Fit to Page Mode”.

I had checked and unchecked the edit checkbox with different results, but no editing of the panels.

I could uncheck the panel box inside the stack and pop it out of the stack for editing and then re-check the box to put it back okay. It just loses its place in the order inside the stack when you do that, and you can move it back.

But I couldn’t add another panel (more filters) without wonkying up (a technical term) the layout. Trying the Fit to Page Mode checkbox now. Thanks, David!
