We assign an employee to a specific resource group so we can use the work queue inside MES. What we noticed is that when we run global scheduling, it acts as if capacity is infinite. I am assuming this is because we didn’t initially assign a calendar to the employee. Can anyone verify that assigning a calendar to the employee will make global scheduling behave like finite? What about if the resource group has multiple resources i.e. the employee runs multiple machines at a time? Will scheduling be limited based on the employee calendar (40 hrs) or will it schedule each resource for 40 hrs?
You need to flag the resource that is create as the employee as finite.
