Baseline - MOCON, a world leader in developing, manufacturing and marketing high-tech measurement equipment and services has an immediate need for a self-motivated Production Scheduler to join our team in our Lyons, Colorado Office.
SUMMARY
To assist in the planning and maintenance of the Baseline production schedule utilizing MRP to ensure maximum productivity through timely material procurement and Work Order release to accomplish Manufacturing, Service and Spare Parts delivery requirements.
To control Baseline inventory within budgeted levels by communicating to MOCON Purchasing recommended order quantities and delivery dates to meet the schedule needs of Baseline Sensor and Lamp Manufacturing, Service and other departments as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Effectively manage material inventory levels and order points to assure adequate operating stocks to facilitate production schedules and customer service needs through the use of MRP.
2. Maintain Baseline production schedules and update as required in order to provide Production, Sales and Management personnel with timely information regarding the status of customers’ orders.
3. Work closely with Operations Manager and other key players within the organization in providing guidance and scheduling selected orders for assembly.
4. Participate in regular manufacturing meetings to recommend policies, provide input into production schedules, requirements and other important procedures related to manufacturing operations and the materials function.
5. Participate in regular meetings with the Operations and Sales Managers to review projections for scheduling purposes.
6. Make necessary changes to scheduled and released assemblies when affected by Engineering Change Orders.
7. Works closely with Integration during new product development as it relates to Manufacturing and Service.
8. Ensure production and other schedule requirements are on time and within budget.
9. Be the liaison between Baseline and MOCON for production updates and schedule changes as well as assist with internal purchasing issues.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of college or technical school and 2-5 years of applicable experience
- Experience with MRP systems in a technical or manufacturing environment
- EPICOR Experience a plus
- Excellent verbal and written skills plus MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
