If you don't mind doing it by controlling the vantage server, you can use
VNC. It works like PCAnywhere but there is no installation for the client
and the exe fits on a floppy (or a server folder). You use the server name
and a password to log in and you have direct control as if you were at the
server. Then just use your normal procedure. The best part is it is free.

I started using it a few months ago and now restart data collection PCs from
my desk. No more running around. I suspect this is not the answer you were
