Epicor 9.05 701 64-Bit Client

David,

I am running the 64 bit client on a couple of stations below are a few
things you will need to do.

Client will run slower with the 64 bit version running.

Client has to have 64 bit version of CR runtime installed.

If you have CR reports embedded in menu you will need to have 64 bit version
of ODBC configured. If your server is running 32 bit version of progress
you will need to install the 64 bit version on a different pc to point the
ODBC drivers to.

As a note you can have both version setup on a single workstation just have
to install both CR runtimes and configure both ODBC connections.

Steve

Subject: [Vantage] Epicor 9.05 701 64-Bit Client

Hi All,

I was wondering if anyone had their Epicor 9.05 701 clients running the
64-Bit executable? We are thinking about doing this due to some memory
problems we have run into with the 32-Bit client. Are there any gotchas in
using the 64-Bit client?

Thanks,
David
