Epicor 9 - Crystal Quote Specification

Hi Linda,

Thanks, it looks like that is going to work.

IÂ almost had it, but I was linking the incorrect fields.

Cheers,

Hi,

You could try:

Use the quote details table in the subreport and link back to the main
report using the company and quote number

In the subreport, group on the product type and put the specs in the
group header or footer and suppress the details section

Place the subreport in the report footer section of the main report

Turn on New Page Before in the report footer section of the main report

Regards,

Linda

Subject: [Vantage] Epicor 9 - Crystal Quote Specification

Hi,

We have a requirement for the following.

At present, when we create a quote for a customer, we create a document
manually which list the specifications for the products that we are
quoting for.

One is done in word, and the other from our legacy system.

With Epicor, I would like the whole lot to be created with the press of
a button.

I thought I had it sorted. I was going to create a sub-report filtering
on the Prodcode so when the ProdCode appeared in the parent report, the
sub-report would display the specification for that product family in
the main document. This way when a quote is created, everything would be
combined in one document and sent to the customer. I have added a
suppress formula to the subreport which will not duplicate the same spec
over and over if different parts from the same ProdCode appear in the
parent document.

I have created a sub-report which works (in theory). However, the ideal
place for the sub-report is on a blank page, after the covering letter
(which I have created in the Report Header or Page Header).

If I place the sub report in the Group Head, Details or Group Footer
section, it will display the sub report correctly, however it repeats
the specification in every group and isn't ideal as it doesnt keep the
whole spec together.

If I put the sub report in the Page Header or Report Header it will pick
up on the first line of the quote and display the spec for that
prodcode, but not the rest.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get a 'spec page' to be
combined with the parent report (even a separate report that will print,
be populated and be combined with the parent document) so when I print a
quote, it will print the quote details and also a specification page
(whether it is page 2 or at the end of the document).

Any help at all would be appreciated here as I am really struggling.

Cheers,

CHRIS THOMPSON
