Should the exemption certificate from AvaTax be visible within Epicor? Which system acts as the master, and which is the slave? I believe AvaTax is the master—meaning the exemption certificate is stored there and linked into Epicor. Or is it the other way around, where we enter the information in Epicor and it pushes to AvaTax?

I reviewed our Company Configuration for the AvaTax Connector and compared it to the setup instructions. One step mentions selecting “Calculated by Tax Connect” from the tax category drop-down, but we don’t have that option available. I’m unsure where those drop-down choices are maintained. Could the absence of this selection impact the full functionality of the connector?

There is no way to view the certs within Epicor you’d need to log into Avalara’s web portal to see them.

You can see them in order entry in the tax connect menu.
