Hi everyone,
I’m currently preparing for my Epicor ECM Foundation and Epicor ECM Sales certification exam. It’s scheduled for later this week, and I only have less than a week to review, so I’m feeling a bit pressured.
I’m currently using the ELC courses for my review. I’d really appreciate any advice from those who have taken this certification exam before.
Specifically, I’m wondering:
What are the most crucial topics or knowledge areas within ECM Foundation and Sales that I should prioritize given the tight timeframe?
Is just studying the ELC courses enough for the certification exam? If not, where else should I study, and what are some good resources/sources?
For those who’ve taken the exam, can you confirm if it’s entirely multiple-choice? Are there any particular question formats I should be aware of (e.g., scenario-based questions, multiple-correct answers)?
I’d really appreciate any guidance or recommendations you might have. Your knowledge would be a huge help!
There is no substitute for practical experience. Revisit those key learning topics in the certification guides, and put the emphasis on the areas that carry the most weight.
That’s all I’ve got.
I did want to point out that these exams are only available to Epicor Employees and Partners. So you may not get too much of a response.
ECM exams can be challenging, so I recommend thoroughly studying the topics outlined in the exam guide—especially areas you’re less familiar with. Start by reviewing those unfamiliar sections, then supplement your learning with instructional videos.
Keep in mind that ECM exam questions are often designed as logic or language puzzles, testing not just knowledge but comprehension. It’s important to carefully read each question and understand the concept being assessed.
Since videos only provide a foundation, it’s essential to log in to ECM and explore the system directly. Get familiar with the layout and function of each screen. Focus on core areas such as Security Classes, Users, Groups, Workflow Tasks, as well as broader modules like PackageWorks, Forms, and ReportWorks. Understanding the purpose and function of each of these components will help you grasp the bigger picture and perform well on the exam.
