Epicor Kinetic Innovation Moves to the Cloud: On-Premises Development Ends in 2028

For our Advanced Project Management solutions, all of our Kinetic UIs are built within the Kinetic frameworks the same as standard Kinetic UIs/Modules with most of them calling our own custom Kinetic SDK Business Objects.

Re the logic and heavy lifting, yes, the very vast majority of our logic and heavy lifting is done server side (within the Business Objects and sometimes uBAQs). Which, even with WinForms, since at least the Epicor 10 Preview days, has always been the recommended, but admittedly not always easy or followed, approach.

Obviously for those organizations where they have invested heavily in client-side logic and UI customizations, re-architecting the solutions to be mainly server side can be time consuming and challenging, but to date, I’ve seen very few requirements not relatively easily meetable leveraging the current Kinetic toolset with Kinetic UIs/uBAQs/EFs/BPMs/etc. More often than not, from my experiences, it’s been the change management/training side that’s been the bigger challenge - often by those that swear that if we all went back to pen and paper and the green screen solutions everything in life would be so much better.

Yeah, thanks! The ARM team have and continue to do an amazing job!
