Epicor recent update side effect

Hi everyone,

I wanted to check if anyone else is experiencing serious issues after last weekend’s Epicor Kinetic update in North America. We’ve had over 10 major tickets filed, and so far, there’s been no resolution. It’s been quite a headache, and I’m curious if others are facing similar challenges.

Let me know if you’ve encountered any problems or found any workarounds!

There are a number of posts circulating about common issues. As far as work arounds, you’d have to be more specific about the individual issues you’re seeing.

In all dashboards, the refresh button and functionality are not working!
The loading time on all screens significantly has been decreased.

I’ve got an issue with a customer site where any screen with a custom field on it is failing to load data, or taking a long long time to load.

I still haven’t tracked down why - comparing the events that are called and the network traffic in browser dev tools but not seen anything yet.

Anybody have any further info?

The in-house developed dashboards are malfunctioning when it comes to refreshing the data.

I meant web vs classic.

Web version…

In our Kinetic Project Entry (we use both Kinetic and Classic), it’s extremely hit or miss as to whether or not we can attach documents to a project. Classic works fine for now, but gets frustrating since some people only have access to Kinetic (we’ve been trying to push that way, but this is not very encouraging to our users). Other Kinetic screens attach documents just fine.

We also haven’t been able to create Journal Entries since the update… We get an error message saying “Invalid column name ‘Accrual Set ID’”. That field is for a table from a module we no longer use, but not sure why we are only just now getting that error.

I will say that other “mysterious” issues we were having before the update have gone away though. Guess this was more of an issue trade

We had to set the fully qualified domain name in our document type maintenance… also we found that the file-transfer service, worked way better than client-side. I’m not sure if that is an on-prem option though…

FWIW, I don’t know if any of that will help.
