Epicor Web Access - EWA Form Parameters

Thanks for the reply's.  This will be our first time using it and I was hoping to use it only to display a tracker from a hyperlink.  Data Entry through a browser with as many tabs and forms that would be coded is bound to have some stability issues. I have a custom web application that cubes a lot of data from Epicor to help identify trends.  Right now it allows our users to drill down to the quote level but shows a limited amount of data.  Part Info, Customer, Orders, Invoices, Comments, etc.  However, if I can have a hyperlink that would allow them to click and launch just the Opp/Quote Tracker and get more detail that might save a step or two and more importantly, time. Regarding EWA being the single worst piece of code ever written.  Is there some particular issue that is driving that statement or some major gotcha?   --- In vantage@yahoogroups.com, <englertj@...> wrote: Hahahahahahah! Have you tried seeing if when you manually open EWA if it passes a URL
parameter?
My other suggestion would be just don't use EWA its the single most
horrible piece of code that Epicor has ever produced so much so they
themselves don't even recommend it. The new stuff in the next version
they've completely re-done the EWA and works much better (per the info I
got at Insights)

We are in the process of upgrading from 9.04 to 9.05.  Part of this upgrade is to setup EWA.   I noticed that I can launch specific form directly from a browser which would be nice if say I had another web application that I wanted to launch the Opportunity Quote Tracker Directly. The hope would be that I could load the form directly using the address http://erpserver/ewa/UI.QuoteEntry.QuoteForm.aspx and then pass in the Quote Number so that it pulls up the quote rather than requiring the user to do it themselves.  Something along the lines of... http://erpserver/ewa/UI.QuoteEntry.QuoteForm.aspx?QuoteNum=13865 I know this is possible because the Enterprise Search will launch the forms directly but we don't have that installed or licensed so I cannot use it to piece together the URL.   Any suggestions?
