Error 291

We were told by Epicor not to have the temp directory go to the
local hard drive c: but to put it on the network. Which we did and
until this week, we have not had a problem. We've been running
through Citrix for about 6 months now. This is so confusing.
We are getting an error message "Insufficient disk space or Write
Access denied (291)" within Vantage. The users that are getting
this are coming through on our Citrix servers. Our server guy says
we have enough space and the permissions have not changed. This
just started happening on Monday, the day after we Enabled Large
files on our Vantage.

Anyone have any idea what is going on?

Thanks
Shari
do you have a epicor work file on your citrix server? We have about 30
users banging on
Vantage via terminal server. Each morning I clean out the mfgwk60 temp
directory. I usually delete
about 100 - 150 meg of data. Could be that you are experiencing full
temp directories .
good luck
Each user has their own temp directory on the Citrix box. Based on
a login script they are mapped to their own temp directory. I did
empty what I could from some of the users but it didn't seem to make
much of a difference. Epicor says once they logout of Vantage the
files delete themselves. Funny how I just deleted files from
September in their temp directory.
With Citrix maybe the files are deleted when the user logs out but on
Terminal Server the files are not deleted. As stated earlier,
some of the files that I delete in the morning are huge and I would
surely run out of space if I did not clean up regularly.
On terminal server, each user has an individual profile, but all of the
data used to process on the server ends up in the Epicor/mfgwk60
directory
on terminal server. Hope you get to the bottom of it.
In Vantage 4.0, the solution was to map and with login scripts/vtg files to
re-direct to another location where the user will have their Vantage temp
files.

From 5.1-6.1, the user logs in Citrix, it creates a temporary folder in the
C:\temp\## as a working space for the user. When the user log's off the
Citrix box, this folder should disappear. You will need to create another
vtg or mfg file for Citrix-TS users with the temporary folder EMPTY
(TempDirectory= ) for Vantage to use this folder for temp files.

Hope this helps.

Good luck!
