Thanks Ted... can you define how to do #3 on your list or point me to a
reference for this please?

599 is returned due to invalid parameters passed to the database logon.
There are many causes to this. Here are some of the things that I've had to
do to get rid of the 599 error.
1. Unregocx.bat and vcopydll.exe
2. User permissions on the WINNT\CRYSTAL (if it exists) (NT/2000/XP
Only)
3. Create a compiled report and install Crystal run-time DLL's on
system (this works great!)
4. Create System DSN instead of User or File DSN
5. Delete DSN and recreate
6. Convert to Merant 3.6 IVPRO ODBC driver (recommended as last resort)
If you have a version of Crystal 8 lying around, then I would recommend
creating the compiled report. I've read where you can create compiled
reports in 8.5 with the 8 download, but I haven't tried this yet.
Hope this helps,
Ted Kitch

There was a thread going on this a few weeks back. I had the problem as
well and haven't found a solution yet. My problem happened because I added
a field using ODBC. The formula problem to which Epicor alluded is only
applicable if the field is a calculation, at least as far as I can tell. I
tried their solution and it didn't help (my field isn't a formula). We also
tried their solution for unregistering and re-registering ocx files and that
didn't help. Check the archives on Yahoo Groups and you can see what other
people have tried. I don't think anyone has nailed this one yet. Am I
right?

Subject: [Vantage] Error 599
I have major problems with this issue. I have a packing slip
modified by crystal to add one field. I get 599 errors when trying
to print this. Epicor stated that this is related to the type of
formula. They are not able to help me rectify this. Futhermore,
there is one workstation (98SE) printin this pack slip just fine but
I can not get any other to print it. Any suggestions?
