Export Stock Status Report in Vantage 8.0

I am not sure if things have changed in 8.0, but in 6. simply generate
the report as you normally would. Select the Generic / Text Only option
from the available printers. When the Print to File Dialogue box appears
you can select the directory and file name to save the file, however I
have found that the text file does not format properly. Rather, click
cancel and a message will appear stating that the output fiel could not
be printed and that a copy has been saved to your user temp directory.



You can now go to your temp directory and copy this file to a working
directory. Important - If you printed this report with the Print Preview
option selected the report will be deleted from your temp folder when
you close the print preview screen in Vantage, so do the save before
closing the print preview window.



The report is now ready for import into Excel. Now as to how to do the
fancy tricks required in Excel to strip off the report headers and
subtotals are another trick entirely. It is fairly easy to do the Stock
Status report but pivoting a Time Phase report!!! Just good clean fun.
