Factor in part table

We normally sell from inventory.

Every things looks ok with factor .04 but when we create a order the
if part cost $1.00 each PC and we enter 4 bx order then it shows then
total order is for $4.00 not $100.00

HI

I asked few days ago about factor in part.

Any one have idea.

if we pack 25 parts in 1 box the what should be the factor 25 or .04?

when we crete an order for the part then if the factor is 25 it shows
the qty oppossite.

it in order qty we fill 4 box then it saysw our quantity is .16 and
if order quantity is 100 the our quantity is 4 but actually it
should be order Quantity is 4 and our quntity is 100.

Also when we ship that part then with 25 as factor it takes only 4
parts from inventory not 100 parts.

With factor .04 in order it shows ok that order quantity is 4 and
our quantity is 100 and everuy thing looks ok but then for unit price
for every single part with factor we have to use a formula.

Please help me on this.
Hi Sharma,

I will try and help. First there are several places to change the factor, I
believe everything is in reference to what you have set as the inventory
U/M.

For example we stock threaded rod by the inch. However I buy it buy the
foot, so the purchasing factor is .0833 (1/12). If I were to sell it by the
foot the Selling Factor would also be .0833.

To make matters more confusing, I you can over-ride what is set in the part
master in the vendor price list. (It's necessary if buying from two
different suppliers where 1 might have a box quantity of 10, and the other
25. Generally in cases where there is a discrete part, we buy as an each
price and put a minimum buy amount to indicate the case size, or add it to
the vendor part number, it makes comparing prices easier, as well as making
it easier to see how many is really needed.

Does this help?

Liz
