Favorite menus on home screen

Hello everyone,

I used to use modern UI. But after update, i have to use Kinetic UI only.
One of my favorite features of the Modern UI is that my favorite menus appear on the home screen.
Can’t we set it like this in Kinetic UI? In Kinetic, I have to enter Menu>>Favorite>>Favorite.
Like the modern UI, I prefer to show my favorites and recent menus on the home screen.
Thanks in advance!

You can change your widgets however you’d like. They don’t have the favorites displayed in a list, but you can organize your screen to get them in there.

Nothing out of the box, but it’s probably possible to add the recent items to the homepage with a method directive on Ice.BO.ShellLayoutSvc.GetHomePageForUser if this change bothers you enough.

I quite like your screen. In particular, this is the first time I’ve seen a menu icon with a picture inserted that shows the characteristics of the menu. My menu picture only indicates whether it is a Tracker, Entry, or Report.
Can you please explain specifically how to set it up like this? I came in as a widget, but I don’t know how to set it up.
Thanks in advance!

Oh yeah, sure. You can edit the individual widgets. So, when in edit mode, each widget has a 3-dot overflow menu where you can set the color, application, rename the title, etc.

At the bottom, you can also upload an image.

I just used some stock graphics off the web and picked one that seemed fitting for each menu.

Thanks for the explanation. One thing I’m curious about is how to bring up the menu. I created a new folder in edit mode, but I can’t find the button to bring up the menu.

You’d use that top option over in the right hand side… you want to add an App Link.

Drag that over, you can resize it however you’d like. Then the app link will have a 3-dot menu, click that, then edit. That’s where you can select the app you want this widget to link to.

Thanks for your help. I was stupid. I was opening it on a small screen and the feature wasn’t activated.
