File upload sequence into E9 using DMT?

For Projects you need to make sure you have everything in including operations, resources and capabilities, phases, then projects. Pay close attention to things like CustnumcustID as I have seen the content of that field giving you problems (eg the project is loaded against the wrong customer)

The other thing you can do is import all of the projects and phases without creating the jobs then go through and update to create the jobs. I think the field is createwbsphasejob for phases and createprojjob for projects.

Be warey of customer contacts and person contacts as you can create duplicates.

Hope that helps
Simon

We are moving from Vantage 6.1 to Epicor. We are taking this opportunity to "scrub" our Vantage data before uploading into Epicor using DMT. For those tables where data doesn't exist, we obviously will be creating from scratch using the DMT templates.

Does anyone have information related to file upload sequence? BTW, we will be implementing most modules.)

We did it this way two years ago, may have changed since then... but
beware, if loading open orders & PO's.

The lines will get re-sequenced if there are closed ones.

EX: order 12345 has 4 lines and line 2 is closed, you get lines 1-4 with
3 becoming 2, 4 becoming 3, etc.. after DMT runs. PITA!!!

Ah yes..missing lines! What a PITA they were!!

I worked around this problem by inserting fake lines in the spreadsheets for
DMT and then deleting them out once they were input into Epicor. I think I
just called the lines "delete after input" so they could easily be found.
Luckily we didn't have too many of these.

Darryn

The lines will get re-sequenced if there are closed ones.

EX: order 12345 has 4 lines and line 2 is closed, you get lines 1-4 with
3 becoming 2, 4 becoming 3, etc.. after DMT runs. PITA!!!
