Firewall rules so internet blocked computers can access Cloud Epicor Kinetic database

Just wondering if anyone has had to put rules on their Firewall so their shop floor computers that are blocked from the internet can access the Cloud Epicor 11 database? I have a ticket into Epicor but just thought I would ask here as well.

Thanks,

If you are using the epicor cloud I believe they use https (port 443) for almost everything

If you are using net.tcp the port is 808

So I would open 80,443 and 808 (TCP/UDP) both ways to your cloud provider.

Note that REST , Enterprise Search and a few other services may be on different endpoints.

@JillMetalworks,

The recommended Anti-Virus and Ports exclusions for cloud users are in KB0073235 on EpicCare.

@JillMetalworks Did you ever get a definitive answer on this?

Jose & Mark, it’s not as simple as just opening ports, at least for us. We have all internet access blocked on shop floor computers and then access is controlled by who logs in. We can control what URLs are available, though, and that’s what we’d like to do for Epicor.
