Nice to know Epicor employees are kept so delusionally happy about doing a
generally crappy job. (Maybe Epicor should market that magic koolaid to its user
base. /;o).

The following showed up in a Google News search. You have to take
"inside company comments" with a grain of salt but this one would
explain the quality issues since it appears there's a huge chasm
between the developers and the users whenever you talk to Support.
Support has NEVER said anything of the kind to me but it seems the
back-and-forth and delay of response would be explained by this
comment. Something someone might want to ask when in Orlando or those
on the Leadership Council.

...
Pros
The free perks, the AMAZINGLY relaxed and friendly atmosphere, and the
overall supportive and welcoming attitude of everyone at the company.
Cons
Sometimes there is a lack of commeraderie and communication between
the software development department and the department that installs
the software onsite for our clients. This could potentially become a
bigger issue if it doesn't get managed well...
Advice to Senior Management
I would suggest that management host "sensitivity" workshops between
the Development and Implementation divisions on a REGULAR and ONGOING
basis, because having witnessed the feud from an outside vantage
point, there are some serious downfalls in communication and realistic
expectations that desperately need to be rectified unless they want to
continue rendering poor service to the company's clients.
